Given the overwhelming, ever-growing popularity of video gaming – supported and driven by the advances in technology and the STEM fields, the rise of esports isn’t surprising, and many schools are now embracing structured esports programs as an alternative or in addition to traditional sports. Many of the world’s leading STEM and 21st Century Centric Schools are recognizing that learners can and do learn the same types of lessons from competitive video gaming as they would learn in traditional sports.
